  About The Author

  Alone With Her

  Audrey

When my brother asked if he could bring one of his friends home with him on his leave from Iraq, I was not prepared for the tall, handsome soldier walking through my door. Rex Ryan was pure muscle, tattoos, and tanned skin. It was hard to pick my jaw up off the floor and remember that since they were only here for fifteen days, they’d want to party and get girls. There was no way he’d be interested in me.

  Rex

My battle buddy did not warn me that his sister was a total knockout. I’d had plans of burgers and beers, maybe some girls, but all that changed when I met Audrey. I know I shouldn’t want her; she’s my best friend’s sister… But I can’t help myself. It’s been months since I’ve been with a woman and she’s all I can think about. Somehow I’ll have to control myself. Somehow I’ll have to stay away. I’m just not sure how long I can last if I’m alone with her.

If you like it rough and insatiable, cash your ticket here and enjoy the ride!

  Chapter 1

  Rex

Man, I was stoked. When Johnson offered to let me go home with him on leave, I couldn’t believe it. I wasn’t even going to take a leave; no sense in going “home” where we were stationed Virginia- I’d sublet my apartment and I didn’t want to stay in a hotel. And there was no way I was going home to see my folks. They lived in the middle of nowhere Arkansas; not exactly a dream vacation.

“C’mon man, you need to take a leave. Staying through 10 months here isn’t good for you,” Johnson said, hanging up his gear.

I shrugged. “It’s not so bad. I’ll just get more work done, make more money, and keep hitting the gym.”

“Just come home on leave with me, dude,” he persuaded, “I’m going to my sister’s house in Florida. She’s got a place near the beach and a pool. You know you want to see some good sand after being in this litter box shit for so long.”

It made me laugh. Yeah. That did sound like a nice set up… I really didn’t want to be wasting time over here while Johnson was having a nice damn vacation away from all this shit. I was pretty jealous to be honest.

“And she’s cool with that?” I asked sarcastically, not wanting to feel like a punk ass burden.

Johnson threw his vest on the ground. “Yeah. She’s cool with it. Just come man. We’ll have a hell of a time. You need a break from all this.”

I hung up my tactical belt and helmet. “I’ll think about it… Maybe I’ll get a hotel room or something so I’m not barging in on some girl I don’t know.”

Johnson plugged in his walkie. “That’s stupid and a waste of money… But whatever you want, man. You’re more than welcome at Audrey’s.”

Now in the airport, bags in hand and following Johnson around like a fucking puppy, I still felt fucking weird and out of place going home with my friend. I still felt like I was intruding.

“So your sister’s really fine with this?” I asked Johnson again as we handed the gate attendant our tickets.

“Dude. I don’t know how many times I have to fucking tell you. You’re totally welcome.”

I stiffened. “Did you even tell her?”

“Jesus fucking Christ,” Johnson spat, pulling his phone out of the side pocket of his uniform pants, “I swear to God, I’m done hearing about this.”

He tapped the screen and held it to his ear. I paused.

“Audrey. My bitch ass friend needs to hear from you that you’re cool with him coming,” he barked into his phone.

I stepped back, annoyed. “Hey man-”

He pulled the phone away from his ear and handed it to me, I could see her name on the screen.

“Go ahead,” he ordered impatiently. I grit my teeth and took the phone, holding it up to my ear.

“Hello?” I asked begrudgingly. Some fucking friend.

“Hi! This is Audrey, Matt’s sister. I’m totally cool with you coming here! I can’t believe you were just thinking about staying over there! My house is five minutes from the beach, there’s tons of bars and spots all along the water. Can’t be too bad, right?”

I loosened up a little bit. “You’re sure? I can always get a hotel room or something…”

I heard her warm laugh. Sexy. Just that made my cock strain a little in my jeans. Eight months in the desert will do that to you.

“If that’s what you want to do, then go for it, but just know you have a place here,” she offered.

“Alright, well…” I stammered, “Guess we’ll see you soon.”

“Okay! Safe flight!” she chirped. Then she was gone. I handed the phone back to Johnson.

“You’re a stupid son of a bitch,” I griped, annoyed that he tattled on me to his sister.

He rolled his eyes, shoving his phone back in his pocket. “Whatever. As long as you’re not gonna be a little bitch about this anymore. Just fucking enjoy your vacation. We’re not in Iraq anymore!”

I slapped him on the back, shaking it all off. “You’re damn fucking right, we’re not.”

The boys weren’t due to land for an hour, so I finished up the last bit of laundry and cleared off the kitchen counter. I figured they’d be going out a lot but I made sure I had plenty of beer, cold cuts, chips, and ice cream. I took a few days off work to spend some time with Matt but I knew for the most part, they’d want to do their own thing. My brother loved me, but this was his vacation.

I had extra blankets and pillows for the couch and I even bought a blow up mattress for my office in case Matt’s friend wanted that instead.

A loud knock came from my front door and I checked my watch, shrugging. I didn’t expect any packages or anything. Probably another damn salesman.

I opened it and Matt bear hugged me, knocking me back into my doorway. “You weren’t supposed to land for another hour!”

His grip was tight on my shoulders, his uniform jacket stiff on my face. His skin was much more tan than the last time I’d seen him. “We got on standby on an earlier flight!”

Matt stepped back and grabbed his bag that he’d dropped on the porch next to his boots. He didn’t waste any time getting inside to start his vacation.

“This is Ryan,” he nodded towards his friend, sliding past me and dropping his bag by the couch. I smirked, rolling my eyes. My brother was never
the polite type. I heard the fridge open, bottles jostling. The tall, handsome man waiting on my porch looked over me, a small smile on his lips.

“Staff Sergeant Rex Ryan,” he corrected, extending his hand for mine.

I took it, hard and calloused, eyebrows raised. “Rex Ryan? That’s a real name?”

He blushed, nodding. “My parents were hoping I’d end up in the NFL. “

I shrugged, imagining it with a name like that. “Makes sense. Come on in.”

He stepped past me as Matt handed him an uncapped beer from my fridge. “Here ya go man.”

“Jesus, finally,” Rex groaned, taking it, clinking the neck of it with Matt’s, “Cheers.”

Matt took a long swig and then set it on the coffee table, unbuttoning his uniform blouse from the top. He pulled it off and tossed it on the back of the couch, grabbing his beer again, his tan t-shirt tucked into his uniform pants. As kids, he always got yelled at for having his shirt untucked. At least the Army had finally taught him to tuck his damn shirt in. “We need to wash all this shit before we head back, that okay?”

Rex started unbuttoning his thick uniform jacket, watching me for my answer, his green eyes on mine. My skin prickled with an unnamed intensity. I couldn’t figure out if it was just because I didn’t know him or if it was because I found him incredibly handsome. Something about him standing in my living room, watching me, had me incredibly aware.

“Totally fine, wash whatever you want, eat whatever you want, make yourself at home. You’re on vacation!” I assured him, hoping I didn’t sound like an idiot. I didn’t care what my brother thought… But I felt like I was stumbling over my words around his friend.

Rex dropped his jacket next to Matt’s, picking up his beer the same way.

The sleeves of his t-shirt were tight on his biceps, his skin perfectly tanned, tattoos peeking out from under his sleeve. I couldn’t help but notice the way the entire shirt itself seemed molded to his body, hardened by war and countless hours in the gym. I knew from Matt’s last deployment that anytime he wasn’t working, he was in the gym. It looked like Rex was the same way.

I followed the shirt up to his face, where he caught me staring, his green eyes held on mine. I blushed. Fuck.

“So what’s the plan?” Matt asked, sitting on the arm of the couch, sipping his beer. He hadn’t seemed to notice that I was checking out his friend.

I pulled my eyes away from Rex, embarrassed as hell. “Um. Whatever you want. I got burgers and the grill has gas if you want to grill, the pool is all set, or we can head down to the beach.”

I saw Rex watching me from the corner of my eye. God, he’s fucking handsome. The uniform made him look strong, masculine, and imposing. It was hard not to stare.

“Ryan, what sounds good to you?” Matt asked him, taking another sip from his beer.

Rex turned his head towards him, eyes off me. I felt like I could finally breathe. “Whatever y’all want, man. I’m along for the ride.”

His deep voice had a slight twang of something southern.

Matt stood, putting his free hand in his pocket. “I’m gonna see how the pool feels.”

“Check the pH while you’re out there, will you?” I asked, shifting on my feet. He raised his beer over his head as he turned, answering.

He opened the sliding door and slipped out onto the patio.

“So,” Rex started, turning his body and attention to me, my pulse jumping in my throat, “Thanks again for letting me crash here.”

I smiled, trying to remember that he was just my brother’s friend, not someone that I was very, very attracted to. “It’s really no problem.”

He smiled, white teeth against tanned skin. I struggled to keep my eyes on his handsome face and not glance down at his tattoos. I was almost giddy that between the pool and the beach, I was bound to see him with his shirt off.

He was very far out of my league… But it didn’t hurt to look.

“Matt keeps calling you Ryan…” I observed, “What do you want me to call you? Ryan? Rex? Staff Sergeant Rex Ryan?”

The way I said that last part came out incredibly, painfully sexual. It was almost like I’d suggested I call him “Daddy.” I wanted to cringe. That wasn’t at all the way I meant to say it; I didn’t usually ask people their names in an angsty/porn star way.

He blushed, glancing down at the floor before meeting my eyes again. “You can call me whatever you want, ma’am.”

I chewed the inside of my lip, his eyes boring into mine. He was so physically intimidating that it overwhelmed me. I couldn’t stop my mind from wondering what all his hard muscles felt like… What his chest felt like… His arms… I wondered how hot and smooth his skin would be… I could feel the heat rising up my face.

“Rex is fine,” he said conceded with a smile, “Ryan is what all the guys call me but since I’m on vacation, I guess my first name will work.”

I nodded, my mouth dry. I was sure he knew what I was thinking, the dirty thoughts I was entertaining. I was sure he got reactions like this all the time.

The sliding door closed with a thud as Matt closed it behind himself. “74 degrees and the pH is perfect. Fuck, it’s nice out there.”

He tossed his empty bottle in the trash and got another from the fridge. “I’m gonna get out of this damn uniform and throw some of those burgers on the grill. Sound good?”

Rex shrugged and threw back the rest of his beer. “Works for me.”

“Matt, you know where everything is,” I called as he started down the hallway, “Rex, the guest room and bathroom are down the hall.”

He nodded and grabbed his bag off the floor as well, starting down the hall. I immediately imagined him taking off that uniform, his hard body underneath. I groaned and grabbed a beer from the fridge, holding the cool glass to my forehead. It was going to be a long fifteen days lusting after my brother’s best friend.

  Chapter 2

  Rex

Damn it felt good to be in civilian clothes again. I threw my ACU’s in the bottom of my bag and reminded myself that it’d be fifteen days before I’d even have to look at them again.

I left my bag in the bathroom and met Audrey and Johnson, fuck I’d have to get used to calling him Matt like she did, on the patio. She had her legs in the pool and he was working on the grill.

I hadn’t even thought she’d be cute when Matt invited me to stay with his sister. I wasn’t prepared for how good she looked. She was cute as hell. Even now, her long, tan legs in the pool, those little navy shorts she wore hugging her ass just right, had my cock jerking in my shorts. It’d been eight long months in the desert so, of course, as soon as I was close to an attractive woman, my testosterone went into high gear and all I could think about was how raging fucking hard my cock would get as soon as I really got turned on.

Audrey sat back, leaning on her hands behind her, kicking her legs in the water. Every fucking inch of her was tanned and smooth. Thoughts slid through my head of what she’d look like underneath me.

I tried to shake them from my head. She was my best friend’s sister. I had to be a gentleman. Besides, there was no fucking way I could get with her. She was letting us stay with her and that would be rude as fuck to Matt. No way I could do that.

She took a sip from her beer, wiping the condensation left on her hands on her shorts, closing her eyes in the sunlight. Fuck, this is going to be hard. Thank God, we’d all be together most of the time. Matt will be the ultimate boner kill. If I was alone with her, I don’t know if I’d be able to keep my hands off her.

“So, a bar tonight?” she asked Matt, breaking the silence and the sizzle on the grill.

“Yeah,” Matt agreed, flipping a burger, “Is Longbar still good?”

She nodded, hair bouncing. “They have good drink specials and live music. Good for you, Rex?”

She turned towards me, tossing her long hair over her shoulder, blue eyes on me.

“Like I said, I’m along for the ride.”

Audrey grinned, eyeing my tattoos. She’d been stealing glances at them all day. She was cute as hell blushing when I caught her looking.

“Alright then,” Matt announced, slapping his hands together, “Some good ol’ American burgers are done. Fuck, it’s good to be back.”

He piled them on the tray and brought them to the table where I sat. Audrey rose from the pool, water dripping down her long legs like a fucking goddess. The bastard that I was, I wondered what they’d feel like wrapped around me.

I bit into a cheeseburger, swallowing those thoughts, trying to pound it into my head that this girl was totally and completely off limits.

  Chapter 3

  Rex

The bar Audrey took us to was packed; the drink specials attracted a huge crowd, which Matt loved. He’d been dying for something normal like this. He took the lead through the crowd towards the bar, Audrey followed, and I took the rear. I didn’t like the multiple guys checking Audrey out as we went. They all looked straight to her tits, though she didn’t notice. I glared fucking daggers at them and they looked somewhere else. I worked out as hard as I did to make sure I could win any fight I got in and they knew it.

At the bar, Matt ordered us round after round of shots. Audrey only took two and declined the rest, sipping on her beer instead. I matched Matt shot for shot till round five and tapped out.

“Nah, I’m good man,” I held my hand up as he ordered the sixth round. I could’ve handled a hell of a lot more, but the large crowd had me on edge. There were a lot of people and I needed to maintain control of myself in case shit hit the fan. I wouldn’t do either of them any good if I were wasted.

“Suit yourself,” Matt shrugged, throwing back another shot.
